HT Garden Party 2022
Pimm’s and Pipers. Bounces and Breezes. I could go on, but these are just some of the elements that came together for the Holy Trinity Centenary Garden Party on Sunday 26 June.
The Community Montage
At first glance the idea of taking 16 disparate people aged between seven and 80, with varying degrees of artistic prowess, and have them come up with a single painting could be seen as a recipe for disaster. In the case of a new montage painting of Holy Trinity, conceived by HT member Kim Fewell, the result, in water-soluble oil paints, is actually a spectacular addition to the HT Centenary exhibition.
Opened Out to the Community
Engaging with our local community is important in the life and on-going work of Holy Trinity, even more so in this, our Centenary, year.
Building ‘Bricks and Mortals’ for 100 Years
Church is “bricks and mortals being built together for the glory of God”, so said Rt Revd Mark Wroe, Bishop of Berwick and acting Bishop of Newcastle, in his sermon to mark the opening of the Centenary Exhibition at Holy Trinity Church in Jesmond.
