Children’s Work

At Holy Trinity we put a lot of time and energy into allowing faith to grow in our youngest members of the congregation…

“You can chat with your friends and it’s a bit like a family”

- Naomi

Children are hugely important to the life of Holy Trinity Church. They are welcome here and are a valued and integral part of our church community. Not only are our children given opportunities to learn about the Christian faith, they are also encouraged to explore and consider faith for themselves and are given opportunities to put their faith into action.

We have a wide range of groups that meet in the church hall on Sundays during the service!*

Creche

0-2½ years

Creche is for parents and babies or toddlers who are under two and a half.  They meet in the side chapel during the morning 11.00am service, where there is plenty of space for the children to play, have a snack or a snooze. It also provides a space for parents to relax and share the highs and lows of parenting!

Scramblers

2½-5 years

Our Scramblers are children aged two and a half to five years old. During sessions they will hear a bible story, make a craft and join in games. Refreshments are also provided (drink and a biscuit) and regularly they meet with the Climbers to sing. We want Scramblers to know that God loves them and cares for them.

Climbers

5-8 years

Climbers are children aged five to eight years old (Y1-Y3). Each session they will hear a bible story and begin to consider faith in God for themselves. They are encouraged to pray, take part in drama, games and make crafts. They regularly meet up with the Scramblers to sing and refreshments are often a highlight!

Explorers

8-11 years

Explorers are children aged eight to eleven years old (Y4-Y6). Each week children will hear from the bible and through using drama, discussion, games and craft will begin to apply that to their own lives. Explorers are encouraged to get involved in church life and have run cake stalls and other fundraising activities for good causes.

*Many of our groups are currently meeting online during the COVID19 Pandemic. Email Steph our children’s worker to find out more information.
