Our Vision

Vision and strategy - Holy Trinity Church Jesmond 2023-2025

The Church of England’s vocation is and always has been to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ afresh in each generation.  In doing so we acknowledge our total dependence on God; He is the one who brings growth and invites us to join him in his work.

Our Vision

A church for the whole community which is Jesus Christ centred and shaped by the five marks of mission. A church that is a growing, vibrant, disciple-making community.

Priorities

To be a church of missional disciples where people have confidence in sharing the good news and living out their faith wherever they spend their time Sunday to Saturday.

To be a church that is has a deep authentic community at its heart, that welcomes all and responds to those in need.

To be a church that is younger and more diverse

To become a church where mixed ecology is the norm - where people have access to enriching and compelling communities of faith including both Sunday congregations and new expressions of church and church planting.

Outcomes

From the four strategic priorities there are four outcomes.

Seeing all church members envisioned, resourced and released to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in the whole of life, bring transformation to the church and community.

Implementing a 2 year transitional plan that puts improved systems in place to deepen community (pastoral, small groups etc) and maps out timescales for the church hall re-development.

Growing the number of children, young people and young families in the church.

Creating an effective and coherent strategy for outreach that consolidates and refines current practice and prepares the church for growing new worshipping communities.
